Ahmet Cangoz is a Partner and the CEO of Sistem Global. Prior to joining Sistem Global he has been a Partner in Deloitte Turkey and he led Tax&Legal Department. During his tenure at Deloite, he also acclaimed the role of Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Sector Leader. Previously, he served as a tax inspector in the Ministry of Finance and as a top executive in large private companies. At Deloitte and Mazars, Ahmet assumed extensive experience in corporate tax compliance and international tax issues by acting as the lead tax partner for large clients in consumer business, manufacturing and construction industries. He took part of as a buy-side tax advisor in many privatization and M&A projects. He has been a frequent speaker on seminars and interviews in the areas of taxation and tax policies. Ayşem Sargın was appointed as the Managing Director and Country Executive for Boeing Turkey in September 2015. Prior to joining Boeing, she was the Government Affairs and Policy Director for General Electric (GE) in Turkey, where she set and led the company’s government engagement and policy strategy, with a focus on expanding growth across all GE businesses. Previously, Sargın worked as the External Affairs Manager for British Petroleum (BP) Turkey, where she worked on an international gas transit agreement, paving the way for realization of a major international pipeline project. Prior to her private sector experience, Sargın worked for more than 10 years in the U.S. Embassy in Ankara as a Senior Economic Advisor. In this role, she worked on strengthening U.S.-Turkey trade and investment portfolio, with specific focus on energy, aviation, healthcare and telecommunications sectors. Sargın graduated from the Middle East Technical University Economics Department. In her early career, she worked in the Treasury Department of Turk Eximbank, where she developed an understanding of financial market operations and export financing mechanisms in Turkey. Sargın was recently elected as the President of the International Investors’ Association (YASED) which represents 85 percent of all foreign direct investments (FDI) in Turkey. Sargın is a Board Member in the American Business Forum in Turkey (AmCham-ABFT).

Burcu Ünüvar has been working as the Head of Economic Research Department of the TSKB since April 2017. Before joining the TSKB team, Ms Ünüvar worked at İ.D. Her fields of academic research focus on financial economics, mainly monetary policy and central bank communication. Cenk Bayrakdar, after numerous management roles in Arçelik between 1994 and 2000, joined Turkcell in 2000. In Turkcell, he has cultivated the GSM ecosystem as the Partnering and Content Business Area Division Head until 2006. He served as the Chief Information Officer of Turkcell Group between 2006-2009 and led the restructuring of IT processes and mission-critical operational platforms for the company, including Campaign Management, CRM, Billing and Data Warehousing. He also led the establishment of the core R&D arm of Turkcell Group, Turkcell Teknology. Erkut Tekinkaya began his career in 1991 as Accounting and Finance Specialist at Ramko Construction Inc. From 1994, he served as Finance Director at Döktaş, as Budget and Administrative Accounting Manager at Ram Trading Inc., as Finance Manager at Koç Bilgi ve Savunma Teknolojileri, and as Group Manager at Koç Net Telecommunication Technologies and Communication Services Inc. In 2006, Tekinkaya was appointed Chief Financial Officer at Koç Net Telecommunication Technologies and Communication Services Inc., and assumed the position of Deputy General Manager Finance & Commercial at Vodafone Net Communication Services Inc. following the merger in 2011. Ethem Sancak was born in Siirt in 1954 and completed his primary and secondary education in the same city. He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration in 1976. Sancak gave priority to health sector according to his principles of local development and Turkey’s leadership in global competition and founded Hedef Pharmaceuticals and Medical Warehouse in 1981. Hedef Pharmaceuticals became an international brand in a short time and Sancak formed a strategic partnership with Alliance Boots in 2001. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hedef Alliance and served as a member of Executive Committee of Alliance Boots until 2014. Sancak established Medical Park Hospitals Group within the scope of health investments and soon left the health sector and turned to media and defense industry investments. With the foresight of “New Turkey vision can only be preserved with the help of defense industry and international media power”, Sancak bought Türk Media Group and Star Media Group and formed “ES Media Group” in 2013 and then, later in the same year, he bought BMC, a Turkish brand. By the end of the last quarter of 2017, he left the media sector and turned to investments in the agriculture and livestock sector. His investments in defense industry are also continuing. Sancak was elected “Business Administrator of the Year” in 2001, and “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2005. He received the “National Sovereignty Outstanding Service and Honor Award” from the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in 2007. In recognition of his services as Honorary Consul of Brazil in Istanbul from 2006 to 2010, he was honored by the President of the Federal Republic of Brazil, Lula da Silva, with the Medal of Rio Branco, the highest service medal in Brazil. Fatih Aydin is a partner at Blue River Capital, a London based asset management firm. He is a member of the investment committee and manages the firm’s special situations investments. Prior to joining Blue River, he was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, where he started his career. After spending several years in structuring, sales and trading teams in Goldman Sachs London office, he founded the commodities fund, Etra, in 2012. Born in 1959, Mr. Ateş graduated from Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration after completing his studies at TED Ankara College. He started his banking career in 1981 as an Internal Auditor at İşbank. After serving at various Interbank units from 1986 to 1993, he worked as a Branch Manager at Elmadağ, Şişli, Bakırköy, İzmir and Central Branches. He established Interbank’s Cash Management System and was promoted in 1993 to Executive Vice President in charge of Central Operations. Mr. Ateş worked as Executive Vice President in charge of Financial Affairs and Operations at Bank Ekspres between the years of 1994 and 1996 and led the bank’s restructuring project under the consultation of Bank of America. He established Garanti Bank Moscow in Russia and worked as CEO for one year starting from June 1996. He has continued his duties as the President & CEO at DenizBank, where he started in June 1997 as the Founder President. During his management tenure, DenizBank shares were offered to public in October 2004 where 5.5 times oversubscription was recorded. His management also ran the process of selling Zorlu Holding-owned DenizBank shares to Dexia S.A. in May 2006 for 3.250 Billion Dollars with 4,7 times its book value which is a record in Turkey, the sales process of 99.85% of DenizBank shares owned by Dexia Group to Sberbank 6 years later in June 2012 for 3.6 Billion Dollars with 1.33 times its book value. as well as the sales process of 99,85% of DenizBank shares owned by Sberbank to Emirates NBD for 15,48 billion TL and 1.0 multiplier despite challenging market conditions. In addition, the transfer of Deniz Emeklilik for 256 million Euros with 10 times its book value with a 15-year sales agreement in 2011 and taking over the retail Banking of Citi Turkey with about 1500 employees in 2013 also took place under the management of Mr Ateş. He was born in 1962 in Çorum / Alaca. He completed his primary and secondary education in Alaca and his high school education in Işıklar Military High School in Bursa. He graduated from the Land Force Academy in 1982 and from the Artillery and Missile School in 1983 as an Artillery Lieutenant. After serving in various units, he joined the Air Defense class and was one of the founders of the Air Defense School in 1997. He completed his postgraduate education at Gazi University in 2000, his commands and headquarters training at the Military Academy in 2003, and his master’s degree at Beykent University in 2005 on Education Management and Supervision. He was the project manager of the Air Defense Early Warning Command Control System HERIKKS ; Air Defense Radar KALKAN produced by the consortium under the leadership of ASELSAN, STM, HAVELSAN, TUBITAK and AYESAS and NATO Low Altitude Air Official Interface – LLAPI project. He retired in 2013 from Hadımköy Barracks Command, which he founded in 2010 and was the commander of it. In 2014, he established GOLD Electricity Company. İlhami Keleş is the first Secretary General of SAHA Istanbul Defense Aviation and Space Clustering Association which was established in March 2015 and still serving as Secretary General. İlhami KELEŞ is also Vice President of Defence and Aerospace Industry Manufacturers Association-SaSaD, member of TOBB Turkish Defence Industries Council, member of the Executive Committee of Presidency of Defence Industries-SSB, member of SSB high board and board member of TUBITAK SAGE.

Before joining ÜNLÜ & Co; Uraz has worked as manager in international capital fund NBK Capital Partners and took part in many investments made by the firm in Turkey and Dubai. Throughout his career, he has taken several roles in investments made worth more than 2 billion USD both as an investor and a consultant. He is still the board member of two companies of which he is also an investor. Oscar Arce is the Director General for Economics, Statistics and Research. He is a member of the Executive Commission of the Banco de España and Alternate to the Governor on the Governing Council of the European Central Bank. He is also a member of the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Union and of the Monetary Policy Committee of the European System of Central Banks. In 2018 he was appointed member of Spanish Higher Statistics Board, Board of Trustees of CEMFI and FEDEA, sitting in this latter case on this Foundation’s Executive Board. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Board of the International Center for Monetary and Banking Studies (ICMB). He also served as Associate Director General of Economics and Research, Director of Monetary and Financial Studies and as Head of the Division of Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecasting at the Banco de España. Before, he was the Director of the Research and Statistics department at the Spanish securities markets commission (CNMV), Deputy Director General at the Economic Bureau of the Spanish Prime Minister and prior to that he worked as a senior economist at the Banco de España. He was involved in the work of several international bodies with responsibilities on the fields of capital markets and systemic risk, including the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). Mr Arce holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a MSc Economics from the University College London, and has written extensively on macroeconomic, monetary and financial issues, including some articles published in top academic journals.

Ozan Acar is the Head of Industry Councils and Entrepreneurship Department at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey. He coordinates the activities of 61 different industry councils which brings together 2500+ most prominent private companies with the purpose of facilitating the contribution of the private sector to the sectoral policy making processes. Acar also leads TOBB’s activities for entrepreneurship ecosystem building through TOBB’s young and women entrepreneurship councils active in nation’s 81 provinces. He also coordinates TOBB’s strategic engagements with technology companies. Before joining TOBB, Acar was working at the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV) as the founding director of the competitiveness program. At this capacity he led various projects on industrial and technology policies. He was appointed as the rapporteur of the International Development Cooperation Ad-Hoc Commission for the Tenth Development Plan of Turkey’s Ministry of Development while he was at TEPAV. Simone Kaslowski was born in Torino, Italy in 1963. He graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1984, after completing primary education in Istanbul. He began working in the sales department at Organik Kimya, a family business, in 1985. Kaslowski significantly expanded exports of Organik Kimya products and was appointed head of sales in 1993. After actively working on various investment projects for the firm, Kaslowski was appointed CEO and became member of the board of directors in 1995. His leadership was instrumental in the growth and expansion of Organik Kimya. Organik Kimya operates in 80 countries and has a 250-thousand-ton production capacity in facilities in Kemerburgaz and Tuzla in Istanbul; Rotterdam, Holland; and Lugano, Switzerland. Simone Kaslowski worked to develop the chemical sector in Turkey and contributed to the Chemport project of the Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association. Kaslowski was Chairman of the Chemical Industry Task Force of TÜSİAD. Within this period he took active and managerial roles in the acquisition of new hospitals, merger&acquisition operations, finding project financing for new acquisitions, share sale to private equities, the preparation of the company to IPO and contributed to the growth of the company from a single hospital to a hospital chain with 11 hospitals. He was graduated from Bilkent University Industrial Engineering Department and got a master degree in Financial Economics from Istanbul Bilgi University.
Zehra TAŞKESENLİOĞLU

Zehra Taşkesenlioğlu was born in 1972, Erzurum. She is Deputy for Erzurum (Turkish Grand National Assembly – 25th, 26th and 27 th Parliament) and Spokesperson of The European Union Harmonization Committee as well. She has graduated with Master Degree from Marmara University in “Economics” and from Bahçeşehir University in “ EU Relations” and she has also PhD Candidate from University of New Orleans on “Financial Economy”. She had also Congress Internship experience in USA – Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2011. She has worked in several project-based jobs up to today. The main job experiences are in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality as advisor of Mayor, in Zeytinburnu and Eyüp Municipality as director and project manager, between 1999 and 2015. She had also coordinated so many investments in Rwanda, Uganda, Sudan and Tanzania such as Power Generation with Mini-Refinery, Rehabilitation of Non-agricultural Land, Setting-up Operating System of Copper Mines and Setting-up Medical Distribution Network. Regarding the political activities, she had started her carrier in 1993 for Refah Party. She had also worked for Fazilet Party until 1998. After 2003, she has worked for AK Party as Commissioner of İstanbul and as Member of İstanbul Provincial Board of Directors between 2007-2015. Taşkesenlioğlu had also written books, articles and reports on migration integration, local governments, innovation at Public Sector, Social Dialogue Mechanisms, International Fund and Sources for Local Development and Turkey’s Service Export Report etc. Taşkesenlioğlu speaks English, French and Swahili.
Zeynep ÖZBATUR ATAKAN

Born in İstanbul, Zeynep Atakan graduated from the Department of Film and Television at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University. From 1986 to 1999, she worked in various roles in the television advertisement industry and specialized as a producer. After 1994, she continued her work at the company she co-founded. In 1999, Atakan transitioned to the film industry and started producing international film projects. In 2007, she started Zeynofilm, a company dedicated to producing film projects. In 2010, Atakan was awarded the European Film Academy’s Best European Co-Producer award. The same year, she launched the Yapımlab Workshops, with which she aims to share her experience and knowledge as a producer with young filmmakers. Zeynep Atakan is still the Vice President of EWA, the European Women’s Audiovisual Network, which works towards equal opportunities for women working in the audiovisual industries in Europe and around the world. In 2014, Atakan was awarded the Uçan Süpürge Bilge Olgaç Achievement Award, and her latest production Winter Sleep won the Palme d’Or at the 67th Cannes Film Festival, the festival’s most prestigious award Zeynep Atakan started the Antalya Film Forum, a co-production and project development market organized as part of the International Antalya Film Festival since 2014, and continues to work as its director. Atakan also organizes the Turkey section of the Young Audience Award, a project by the European Film Academy. She is the art director of the Sabancı Foundation Short Film Platform. Atakan is a member of the European Film Academy and the Asia Pacific Screen Academy.
